El Clasico: The Sensational Supremacy of Real Madrid at Camp Nou

Real Madrid defeated Barcelona in a 3-1 win in the biggest sporting event in the world. It was the first El Clasico in the 90th season of La Liga Santander. Though there is governmental restrictions due to amid Covid-19 pandemic the first ever el clasico was held behind closed doors. El Clasico is the biggest rivalry in the world of football and the most watched game. There were a total of 650 million fans for the game all over the world. Both the Spanish giants have a head to head record in El Clasico with 96 fixtures each in 244 matches and this victory added one more lead for Real Madrid.The prestigious club Real Madrid goes back home with the glorious victory in Camp Nou.

Federico Valverde striked a finish puts Zidane's side into the lead through Karim Benzema's assist after the third minute of the match. He became the first Uraguayan player to score in an El Clasico for Real Madrid. Barcelona's Ansu Fati aged 17,  smashed an equaliser after three minute of the first goal of the game from Jordi Alba's cross, becoming the youngest goal scorer in 21st century in the history of EL Clasico, breaked the record of Madrid's 19 year old Vinicious Jr. He also added a record as the goal scorer of Barcelona's 400th goal against Real Madrid.
 
It was an interesting game so far. Both the team had conceded many opportunities in the first half to make lead but couldn't made. Clement Lenglet tugged Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos and this incident awarded Madrid a Penalty after a lengthiest VAR decision. Ramos scored the penalty at 63rd minute and this was the turning point of the game. By scoring his 99th goal Ramos (5) equals Ronald Koeman, former Barca legend and the current head coach of Barcelona, as the top scoring defender in El Clasico.

With Rodrygo's cross Real Madrid midfielder Luca Modric who was substitued in the last 5 minutes, striked an awesome finish at the 90th minute which loss all the hope for Barcelona. 
Lionel Messi had a couple of chances to score but huge saves of Thibaut Courtois helped to keep the lead for Madrid. And now there is six El Clasico's straight without a goal for Messi, but still he is the undisputed king of El Clasico. Real Madrid was super strong and smarter in attacking and they proved that they played the way when they had to play. The victory lifted Real Madrid with three big points and reached top of the table in the league. Real Madrid defended in El Clasico with their 34th La Liga title. And by winning the first El Clascio of this season Zinadine Zidane has became never lost as a manager at the Camp Nou in El Clasico.

Barcelona showed up a best play in the El Clasico. They were rebuilding under Ronald Koeman and the new faces Tricano and Sergino Dest has created hope for the future of the club. Sergino Dest became the first American to play in the 118 year history of El Clasico. Benzema again proved himself as a sensational striker in this game too. This was his 250th game in Real Madrid. And brilliant saves of Norberto Murara Neto was also marked as one of the best sporting moments. Ramos was no doubt as captain for Real Madrid, was named as Man of the Match
The first El Clasico this season was surprising and incredible. Both the clubs showed up a wonderful match. Since, there is restrictions for fans to enter the stadium, that was the one and only change that I had felt while seeing the game. But still there was a potential of 650 million viewers for the game. There were 100 El Clasico themed actions organised across the world, drive-in cinema location and public viewing setups, and La Liga also celebrated premiere of its flagship show by lined red carpets at well-known landmarks in the United States, United Kingdom, India, Australia, Senegal, Colombia and Tajikistan which reminded fans that El Clasico offers an incredible show like no other.

I mean, I know this sounds a bit cliche, but you know El Clasico is a must-see game.

Chelsea beat City, becomes Champions of Europe By Anaswara V Rajan Chelsea FC in a 1-0 win against Manchester City FC crowned the UEFA Champions League . In Porto's Estadio do Dragao the German footballer Kai Havertz scored the goal against City in the first half in front of 16,500 audience.   Havertz's focus evaded goalkeeper Ederson, met the net at 42nd minute of the game secured Chelsea in the first half itself. Havertz was the expensive signing for Chelsea FC this season. The English Premier League champions City was much impressive, desperately dissappointed not being Champions of Europe.
