PSG beat Atlanta in the first quarter finals of UEFA Champions Leauge at the Estadio da Luz in Lisbon. With an amazing comeback the French Champions acquired 2-1 victory. In the thrilling match, the central midfielder Marco Pasalic scored the opening goal for Atlanta. An equaliser from PSG at the last 90th minute by Marquinohs. Choupo-Moting added the winning goal in the extra minute of the match.
When the match left five minutes Neymar Jr got a golden chance for an open goal. Unfortunately the ball couldn't find the net. Atlanta very soon found their chance a back-post header by Hateboer. The saviour Keylor Navas smartly saved it. Again Atlanta got their second chance, Mario Pasalic's first attempt a cross by Duvan Zapata again Navas effect. Pasalic scored the lead goal at 26th minute. PSG got many chances throughout the game but they couldn't achieve it. They were helpless in front of the strongest defense of Atlanta. The second half became dramatic when PSG bought Kylian Mbappe. Atlanta became a bit frightened of his substitution. They failed in holding him. Thomas Tuchel's PSG was not ready to be beaten. They fought as much as possible. And so as they scored the equaliser of Marquinohs at the last 90th minute. For a minute Atlanta became silent. It hurts more when Choupo-Moting scored the winning goal for PSG at the 93rd minute. Marco Sportiello failed to stop them. This is how this dramatic game finished. Neymar was dangerous on the pitch so as he was named Man of the Match.
PSG v Atlanta was an amazing match in this UCL season. It was a thrilling and crazy game and also a tough game though. The stoppage-time goals showed the powerful come back of PSG. They made up their mind they were here only for the victory. And their effort gave the best result. Atlanta played their best part. The strength of their defense is what we saw until the last minute of the game. The two goals at the last minutes broke the dream and hope they carried throughout the game. The Serie A club scored 116 goals in all competitions in this season. They showed up a beautiful play, they struggled, they were so close but they were unlucky and it hurts. But they can look back on their UCL debut with huge pride.And also can make a powerful come back in the next campaign.
