Juventus fighted for goals and within the first half Depay having been penalised for handball. Cristiano Ronalo scored the second penalty of the match. Ronaldo is always able to mesmerise his opponents with a sleight of foot found the net again in the second half with a stunning goal. Just for a moment I remembered Ronaldo's hat-trick goal against Atletico Madrid in the last Champions League season. Ronaldo was an instant sensation and regarded as one of the best forwards in the game. He lead the team for the third but they failed to achieve.

Lyon was the seventh in the French league but it surprises all by the victory over the Number one in Italy. Lyon manager Rudi Garcia said " I totally realise the magnitude of the exploit. I came to Juventus many time with Roma. Tonight we were up against an extraterrestrial player in Ronaldo and he scored a remarkable second goal. I'm proud for the supporters and for Lyon."

Juventus gone out too early even with the presence of UCL's all time top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo. He misses out on an UCL quarter finals for the first time since 2019/10. Lyon was strong enough and they played for each other. Since 2010 Lyon are through the quarter finals for the first time. Lyon meets City in Lisbon.
