The Champions League season in 2020 has been ended with the victory of Bayern Munich over Paris Saint-Germain. The German giants defeated the French Champions with a single goal. The France International Kingsley Coman striked a brilliant shot in the 59th minute, which secured Bayern. It is Bayern's sixth Champions League title. Bayern Munich became the first side to win all the games of a UCL campaign.
Both teams created chances in the first half but failed to find the net. With a Robert Lewandowski pass Thiago's first long range shot which was well off target. The PSG trio Neymar, Mbappe, and Di Maria too created chances. Joshua Kimmich defended Mbappe as well. Neymar was so close and Manuel Neur hit the ball. Unfortunately the ball reached Neymar and he was again on target and Neur for the second time made the block. The man who got 55 goals in all competitions this season made an attempt to add the number of his goals but it went straight to Keylor Navas. Mbappe agian loss to score a best opportunity for PSG. He shot straight to the hands of Neur.
In the amazing second half, PSG was came under pressure when Coman scored a goal in the 59th minute. After a few minutes Coman was so close to score the second but it was easily cleared by PSG captain Thiago Silva. Manuel Neur was again with his good goal keeping through Di Maria's cross to Marquinohs. Alphonso Davies was quite usual as always but he fouled a PSG player and booked the first yellow card of the game. By scoring the only one goal in the game Kingsley Coman named as the Man of the Match and won UCLMOTM award. No attempt of PSG made change in the game. Bayern became the Kings of Europe. The president of UEFA passes the biggest prize in European Club football to Manuel Neur, the captain of Bayern Munich.
PSG was so close to gain their first ever Champions League title but fell short on the final. Neymar was so upset after losing the game. He got a yellow card at the end of the game, fouled Lewandowski. The game was Thiago Silva's farewell too. He couldn't make PSG to win the UCL title. But he has been a proud captain of the club. He has won French League title in all of his seven seasons. Thomas Tuchel, PSG manager can hold his head high. He has come closer than any PSG coaches managed before. No one could never get PSG this far. They had a very painful experience in this game but they can walk past and hope to come back stronger. Tuchel said "we gave all our heart on the field. You can expect them from your team, but you can't control the result". And it is true. We can see the effort and determination made by PSG to play the Championship game of UCL.
With their commanding performance Bayern Munich was unbeaten throughout the season and they were worthy Champions. They were deserved to be crowned as the European Champions in 2020. A team did not want to win all the matches of the Champions League to reach the final. And it was happened to Bayern and so as they won the Champions League trophy. It was Hansi Flick, the Bayern coach, who made this happen. He was the Mastermind to give the strength to the Bayern players. And now Bayern has three titles this season under Flick. Bundesliga, German Cup, and now Champions League. The goal keeper Manuel Neur was played keypart in the victory of Bayern. As a captain he has more importance as well as pressure in the game. He did never dip in form in the whole 90 minutes. He was mentioned during the semi-final as goat keeper, the greatest of all time.
It was a painful match for Paris but a very good final. The perfect final with the finest attacking players. It was not like a final for ages. One goal, no crowd but it was really a watchable 90 minutes of football. A very special and different season in the Champions League era. So many fouls, so many challenges, an extremely different game as well. It was not a goal- feast that I had anticipated but was an exciting battle.
A long journey of UEFA Champions League has been ended. The campaign was delayed due to the novel Covid-19 pandemic. A strangest season ever in the history of Champions League, matches with no crowd, dramatic winnings, and so on. All of the selected clubs performed well. The final was a delightful watch, a low scoring match. And from now it is time to wait for next season. Congratulations to the Champions.
