The UEFA Champions League, also known as the European Cup is an annual club football competition organised by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) which is founded in 1955. UCL is one of the most prestigious club competition in European Football. The total number of teams is 79 and 32 in group stage. UCL is the qualifier for UEFA super cup and FIFA World Cup. The most successful club is the spanish club Real Madrid having won UCL 13 times. The reigning champions are Liverpool.

Chelsea beat City, becomes Champions of Europe By Anaswara V Rajan Chelsea FC in a 1-0 win against Manchester City FC crowned the UEFA Champions League . In Porto's Estadio do Dragao the German footballer Kai Havertz scored the goal against City in the first half in front of 16,500 audience.   Havertz's focus evaded goalkeeper Ederson, met the net at 42nd minute of the game secured Chelsea in the first half itself. Havertz was the expensive signing for Chelsea FC this season. The English Premier League champions City was much impressive, desperately dissappointed not being Champions of Europe. He died but his legacy lives: Farewell to you Diego Maradona Anaswara V Rajan Argentina's Golden Boy died last day following a heart attack at home. He has various health issues over the years as  a result of his addictions. At the beginning of this month he was hospitalised and underwent emergency surgery for a subdural hemetoma. Maradona was born on 30 October 1960 in Lanus, Buenos Aires, a southern outskirts of Argentina. At age eight he showed up the signs of a talented player while playing in a neighbourhood club Estrella Roja. Then he became a smartest player in Los Cebollitas (The Little Onions), the junior team of Buenos Aires' Argentinos Juniors. The legend started his professional club career in 1976 in Argentinos juniors, became the youngest player in the history of Argentine Primera Division, a professional football league in Argentina.
